Welcome to 8th Grade! We are so excited for this upcoming school year! Though it may look different we are fully prepared to make this an amazing year for all. Your 8th Grade team works hard to prepare you for the world of high school and beyond.  

Supplies:                                                                      

The following is provided by the school;                                       

  • 1 composition book for Science                                                                 
  • 1 composition book for LA                                                                         
  • 1 spiral notebook for Math                                                                        
  • 1 spiral notebook for Discovery                                                                 
  • One yellow highlighter
  • Pencils

Other helpful school supplies;

  • Ruler
  • Calculator
  • Scissors
  • Colored Pencils/Markers
  • Sticky Notes
  • Tape or Glue

Grading Policy:

All assignments are due by the date/time assigned by their teachers in Schoology. If students turn in work past the due date they will get a 20% reduction. Students have two weeks from the due date to turn in any late work. After that two week deadline the assignment will no longer be accepted for credit.

Meet Your Amazing 8th Grade Counselor!

Ms. McElvogue (aka Ms. Mac)

Ms. Mac has a passion for working with and empowering students.  She was born and raised in Wisconsin. After completing her Bachelor’s Degree in German from the University of Wisconsin at La Crosse in 2000, she moved to Colorado.  She earned her Master’s Degree in School Counseling from University of Colorado at Colorado Springs (UCCS) in 2005 and spent thirteen years as a School Counselor at Coronado High School. Ms. Mac enjoys spending time with family and friends.  She also enjoys watching and playing all kinds of sports; specifically Packer and Badger football and NCAA basketball - both men and women! Ms. Mac does CrossFit and spends time with her dog Brady and loves spending as much time outside as possible! This is Ms. Mac’s third year at Russell and she is thrilled to be here!
